Lion Park in Johannesburg - South Africa

Wonderful moment in my life! I had so much fun here at the Lion Park in Johannesburg (South Africa), it made me feel like a little kid again. I got the opportunity to see wild animals really really close, not just the lions; there are several other animals including Cheetahs, wild dogs, Hyenas, Meercats, Giraffes, Zebras... This park allows you to interact with young lion cubs, it was absolutely delightful. It was exciting and unforgettable experience, however I am a little bit dissapointed of my pictures, because it was raining all the time... Johannesburg is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the widlife, great food and the nature. I wish I could write you more about my travel experience, but sometimes I can not find the right words to describe my happiness and experience.

I am so grateful to be able to live my dreams!!!

A Journey With Lindy Bop

Hello lovely readers,

today I will share with you my new TOP 3 favorite Lindy Bop dresses. Lately, I visited Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and went on Desert Safari in Dubai wearing Lindy Bop - I love them because they are comfortable. I can wear one during the day and then out to dinner afterwards and feel like I'm dressed just right.

The wish to travel seems to me characteristically human: the desire to move, to satisfy your curiosity or ease your fears, to change the circumstances of your life, to be a stranger, to make a friend, to experience an exotic landscape, to risk the unknown...

HONG KONG street style: Wearing New Style 'EMMY' features Polka chiffon Top Peter Pan collar 1950's vintage Swing Dress

The Emmy Dress from Lindy Bop is an elegant rockabilly swing dress. The sleeveless, black and white polka dot top is a chiffon overlay and has a cute Peter Pan collar. The vintage style dress has a back zip fastening and a flattering waistband with front bow detail. The contrast red flared skirt looks great when worn with a petticoat.

Grab an oar and start paddling, or wait for the wind to fill your sails once again. There are always other choices while crossing the ocean of life…”

LENA HOSCHEK Femme Totale Collection Autumn / Winter 2014 2015

The new autumn collection of my favorite Austrian Designer Lena Hoschek emphasizes the tantalizing female form along the lines of “Femme Totale” with her sharp lines and exquisite materials. One of the outstanding pieces of the collection is the “Starlet Dress”, beckoning in a softly shimmering gold-nude tone.
Retro flair and patterned prints are considered the luxury label’s trademarks. This autumn sexy dresses and blouses with polka-dot print, combined with ladylike pencil skirts with flower print put their best foot forward. Perfect color combinations are cherry red, deep sumptuous black and pristine white.

I got a heart attack when Lena Hoschek sent me an email asking to be her model.
I am following her amazing work for a long time and she is a big inspiration to me. I finally got the chance to meet Lena in Vienna - she was so lovely and sweet, dressed immaculately in a cute vintage cardigan and full-skirted 1950's floral dress. I enjoyed talking with her while drinking tea in Lena Hoschek's Atelier, which is actually a whole house.
My favorite place in the "house" is the kitchen (look the photos below) - looks like a frozen 1950's kitchen with a shabby chic touch and a lot of vintage floral details.
Lena said:
"The biggest thing to me is to make women actually look like women. So femininity is number one goal in fashion for me. I'm totally obsessed with the hourglass silhouette, probably because when I was little I was watching too many '50s movies, and I was never a fan of anything contemporary. So when my school colleagues were fans of Take That or current bands, when I was 13, I was a fan of Marilyn Monroe. And it wasn't so much the women that were just sexy but they also had a sense of humor, because I always thought that the ones making fun of themselves--like Marilyn did with the film How to Catch a Millionaire, with the glasses and everything, the silliness that she's playing up the irony of the dumb blonde--I love that very much. And I always thought that humor was something that made a sexy woman actually sexy. Because sexiness these days is much more obvious, and women take themselves too seriously.
I also love rock n' roll, obviously, and punk and metal music, it's what I grew up with. People say 'How can you like flowery fabrics when you go to this and that concert?' But I do."
I had a lot of fun during the shooting days in Vienna. In this blog post I will show you the final catalogue photos.
Thank you Lena Hoschek Team for the wonderful time I will always always remember!
